SPONSORED COMPENSATION SURVEYS


Most professional organizations ensure that, in their organizations they maintain and sustain internal and external equity in order to maintain employees' moral and sense of fairness in managing employees.

For internal equity in the organization, internal bench marking studies and job evaluation studies ensure fair and consistent value for each job.

For external equity, the organizations have to scan external environment to ensure that their employees are not unduly affected. One of the key functions in this area is to benchmark existing salaries, benefits and HR practices with the comparable organizations .The process of doing this exercise is called Compensation Survey.

The Compensation Survey is generally sponsored by a company; or few companies may initiate a joint exercise. In view of the fact that most organizations are not willing to share their confidential data to the rival company and the process of conducting compensation survey is very time consuming, this process is generally assigned to specialized agency to conduct such surveys.

We at MAP have developed an expertise and experience in conducting compensation surveys in diverse industry groups.

The sponsored compensation survey is based on the needs of the sponsoring company, which may get reflected in the business, organization structure and key issues, key positions, its benchmark companies and its analysis requirements. Based on their needs, we develop a survey design, which is to be approved by the client company.

Based on this survey design, we develop a questionnaire, which again gets approved by the client company. Thereafter client company announces its plan to its comparable companies to do a survey by appointing the consulting company.

We follow up with our request to the proposed participating companies to participate in the exercise by sharing their data on our questionnaire. Our consultants assist the participating companies in position comparison and completion of questionnaire .Our consultants then review the data and validate it to ensure accuracy and consistency.

The consulting team then collates, analyses and prepares the report for the client company based on the needs of the client. The participant's copy is also developed and dispatched to the participants.

We also make post report submission presentation to the sponsoring company to highlight main findings and assist them to draw effective conclusions and action plan.
